Backscatter Designer

Interactive RF Design Tool

October 2026

• Browser tool for N-phase backscatter tag design: bistatic link budget, Smith chart load states, image rejection, sideband spectrum with BLE channels marked, and coverage maps.
• Loads can be ideal phasors with injected error or arbitrary R + jX per state.
• All parameters live in the URL, so a design can be shared as a link. Plain JavaScript and Plotly, no build step.

MIT iQuHack 2024

2nd Place, QuEra Challenge

February 2024

• Team of 5. Mapped the Maximal Independent Set problem on a diluted square lattice onto Rydberg atoms.
• Tuned the laser detuning schedule with Nelder-Mead and ran it on QuEra's Aquila neutral-atom quantum computer.
• Benchmarked hardware results against classical simulation and a Generic Tensor Network solver. Started a Bayesian optimization approach for the pulse schedule.
